The Promises of God Stand Forever.
As we have seen. the Lord God always promised to bring Israel back to their own land.
Since 2004 the world has witnessed the rise of anti-Semetism until today it is all too familiar to hear daily reports of attacks against Jews even in the so called, civilised West.
Many Jews are choosing to leave the country of their birth, and some, but not all are going home to Israel, just as God intended.
You might ask why does God want them in Israel? Well, just like all good parents He likes His children to return home, especially when times get tough.
But, there is a greater reason for this, read,
"And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants
of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication and they shall gaze on Me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn." Zechariah 12
God is speaking of His Son Jesus and Israel's Saviour, one
and the same, Yeshua the Messiah.
God again speaks,
"Behold, I will send for many fishermen, and they will fish them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they
will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and out of the holes of the rocks. For my eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face......" Jeremiah 16 verses 16, 17
In returning to the painting we see the Fishermen, fishing among the nations while there is still time. They fish for the Jewish peole with Star of David eyes, before the Hunters will drive them out.
If they will not return willingly to Israel, God will hunt for them even allowing and using anti-Semitism and persecution if needs be.
God will not abandon them, He says,
"I will never leave you, I will never forsake you."
